its been ages since i last put an entry about working in FSC.
No more FSC at the moment though.. since the last entry, been working for Diakonos Arts and Entertainment.
1st was - We Will Rock You Musical
Job scope:
Calling up magazines to ensure we received complimentary magazine to see our advertisements, as well as keep a copy to submit to our client in the report to show them what are all the PR works we have done for them.
Inviting the media to our Show. Been calling up people like editors, reviewers from SPH, celebrities, CEOs, all to invite them to our show.. Been speaking to managers and Personal Assistants(PAs) rather than themselves though. Must confirm their invites.. if changing date ask change to when... if cannot make it ask why... tell them where to collect tix
actual gala premier day (1Apr08), early in the morning headed to esplanade for press call... the performers performed some aprts of the show to let media take photos, film etc. for those 'nicer' scnes they did twice.. once to let media take with flash, the 2nd without to enable filming. the people came with their name cards, and in exchange we gave them a press kit for reference and a langyard with 'Media' for identification purpose.
We work with Lunchbox productions.. and to no surprise.. the big names like James Cundall (Lunchbox founder) were very good and dealing and presenting themselves at the media.. apart from that, he was pretty strict towards esplanade staff or ger. he questioned the people who didn't turn up and found it an 'insult' .. along that line because he wanted the reasons why they didn't appear.. and he was so disappointed with them tht he requested that nv to invite them to his show ever again.
after the launch.. post review.. had to call the people who didnt turn up.. ask why.. answers were busy... abroad.. no time... last min matters.. then after finishing that had to call those who postponed their invite to confirm.. xxx from this radio station didn't get her tix because there was a miscommunication internally in diakonos.. also mean me and ger nv communicate properly la! hahaaha. paiseh sia, she called my hp. had to re assure her non stop that she'll get her tix while ger quickly talk to lunchbox ppl.
apart from that, had to get quotes from celebs regarding the show.. then compile. hmm quite typical of what you usually see from TV but just didn't expect the amount of hard work to put in. haha.. events is a fun; tiring yet satisfying thing to do.

apart from the scrapped work I've done from the start.. now im able to get roped in a bit la.. find models for the launch at the moment.. source for supplies for the uniforms.. ger gives me managable workload. haha.
okay.. err, back to work?
