Extra! Extra! (11:22 AM)
hello. I finally graduated officially.. with the cert still in the envelop, still in the paper bag that I haven't really touched since I reached home the day before.
graduation ceremony was a breeze. I was worried that the cohort of BS and TRM will take ages since every single one have to go on stage to collect the cert from Mr Philip Lau individually, by the time I went up half the audience might be asleep. Fortunately, the process went very fast, and our director shook the few hundred hands within the 2 hours or so.
the grad attire made all of us look like we're from school of witchcraft or sth. well, a number of them didn't appear, including Karen who told me 'go la! why don't go.' last month. saw her with her bf at heerens when she told me she's not going. apparently end up quite a few from their clique didnt attend.
took quite a bit of photos, received congrats from many lecturers, bid them goodbye and hope that we could stay in touch. It'll be generally tough to hold the whole cohort together but I guess small little cliques that I can rmb, such as the BFFs, Joanna's Clique, Jocelyn and her project group, huiyu's clique, our l4d clique etc. will definitely keep in touch with one another.
guys going to NS (well, excluding Mathiaus and Wei Zhi) , girls going out to work or pursue their degrees. some of them even heading out overseas to finish their studies. (Australia, how fortunate)
oh well, this marks the end of my NP life, in a blink of an eye. been working in NUM for 2 years already suddenly. been tgt with jocelyn almost 3 years already.
to my coursemates who have been so wonderful over the 3 years (almost wonderful lah, black sheeps always exists) and the lecturers, especially Ong Poh Leng (Bstats) and Koh Poh Tee (Microeconomics) who have bullied us, and KPT keep pushing Jocelyn to OPL son before she knew we were tgt because apparently jocelyn doesn't want anyone to know about our relationship until it became exposed.
however, these 2 lecturers definitely taught us things beyond the classroom. Interacting with OPL probably taught me how to deal with old rich bastards who wants to make their students drunk. HAHAHAHA. KPT taught peishan how to deal with pressure. :X KPT also made me and zh damn thick skinned because we kept volunteering during her lessons and I only got B+ in the end. Chey.
There's more, in our year 2 and 3 we met more interesting lecturers, those who belonged to TRM. They're damn cool (need cool teachers for cool students bopian). There's Mrs Lim (who made compulsory for us to sign up facebook and go to a Spa session). Friendly mum with like what, 4 kids???? Don't look like at all.
There's Ms Ong May Leng, whom I gave a headache because I fell terribly ill, lost 8kg when I was in charge of the open house. End up Harris and Jocelyn TRIED to work tgt to bring the project up but I wanted to cry when they simply cannot be teammates.
Ms Emeline Lee, retail teacher, invited us to her house during CNY. :D Taught us so many things about retail, so much insights and I can relate to quite well due to my job at NUM.
Ms Eunice Ho, nicest teacher around. hahahaha. wah nth to say, first TRM teacher we met, treat us damn well, v nice and sweet person.
Dr Michael Chiam, telling us how he went on strikes abt bus fare hikes and stuff and left his exam paper blank..... and got a doctorate.
Ms Annie Yee, admits that she has boring lessons but despite that still puts in so much effort to help students in and our of school curriculum, brought us many networking sessions with industry players. hahaha. priceless k.
There is also Mr Andy Oh. Walaoeh, drive WRX and owns tons of photography equipment. taught us LAM, gave us prob 10 tons of reading papers. remember trm juniors think he good looking. lol. cool guy lah, opl said he's been through alot in life, ask me go learn more from him.
Ms April Ng. frankly speaking, two prominent things about her. first, she gave quite good advice to me on where to go for IAP. SECOND, she criticizes my dressing every chance she gets. called me pimp and waiter before.
oh well, still a few lecturers but didnt a chance to interact more with them. quite a pity. Overall, NP life was really fun. been through UPS and DOWNS literally. had sleepless nights mugging and rushing projects, had a period of time where i just track and field, work, jocelyn... school work abit heck. grades droped below 3. tsk, tsk.
oh well, another phase of life gone.
Time to move on.
