Extra! Extra! (1:23 AM)
Another trip to mutts and mittens today, and we bought the guitar hero add-on for Jocelyn's NDS. She's obviously enjoying the game now. 19 dollars for tht thing. without it cannot activate the game.we felt guilty of scolding sky the last time he licked joce's cousin's face which made her cry. haha obviously he's not trying to make her cry. dogs can't speak, they can't express concern and friendliness as easily as we can communicate.
due to time constrain, we walked Ritz, Sky, Wigi, Kingsly & Queenie only. That took up quite some time and energy though.
at least a break from the hectic town life and facing people.. I'm sure joce finds volunteering at mutts as rewarding as me. In fact, she was the initial motivation for me to go there; gradually got attached to the dogs there. :)
frankly speaking, these dogs without a home are kinda in a bad state. when no one comes to bring them out, they'd get cooped in that small cage of theirs everyday. Pee and shit also inside, sleep also inside, eat also inside.. nth to do and stare blankly also inside. walao, its like a prison but apparently they haven't committed any crime.
I'd encourage people to volunteer around when they have time.. doesn't matter if its pets, old folks'. as long as you help, more of these lonely people benefit. you'd definitely pick up a thing of two here and there.
one of my long term goal is actually to set up a pet shelter, and encourage families to adopt dogs, encourage them to expose their children to friendly dogs... just doing maintainence and stuff and retire there.. will work towards that!
I wanna learn animal and wildlife photography as well! I think it's challenging to capture photos of animals nicely and they'd convey a story, a message from the animal to you!
after which.. I went to gym after I sent jocelyn home today.. trained legs and went for a short run at the treadmill. okay, saturday nights are nice to train too. while others go out gathering, partying, the gym is kinda empty and the atmosphere is pretty good to train in. my pals are either FYP-ing or working on sat night for now. jocelyn's family time is sat night as well. gives me time to gym then.
