Extra! Extra! (1:52 AM)
I'm starting the 9 month ocs course from tomorrow onwards, wonder what's in stored for us. Sure it'll be quite a fun-filled yet torturous phase of army, but I believe it will only make me a better person.

I was packing up, and I was suddenly reminded of how much I tried to become a better person, reading a wide variety of self-help books, training up in gym, keeping up with times, talking to people etc.

However, what defines 'a better person'?

Perfectionism is SUBJECTIVE. In this modern society, everyone's point of view is really affected by the mass media. What is the idea of a beautiful girl? Does she need to have the height, charisma and godly figure like Miranda Kerr or Adriana Lima? What is the ideal guy in the current society? Rich, tall, handsome, drives a sports car? 'So happen' to be there when you're in trouble, when you need a shoulder. 'So happen' that he can speed to your house in his sports car to see you when you're upset? Brings you to his gigantic mansion and enjoy a passionate night together? Too much Korean drama, people!

A friend said that some girls will always feel that youth is still long and that they'll always feel that there's someone better out there. As a matter of fact, yes, there will always be someone richer, taller, more tanned, more suave, more educated, more qualified. At the end of the day, what does relationships mean? a contract?

Why do some guy friends work towards being the 'perfect guy'? They pick up instruments, they memorise openers, they work hard and save up to buy the coolest apparels and latest gadgets(mind you, latest, not most useful), just to make a powerful first impression to the girls. Its definitely okay to want to look good, feel good. But do it for yourself ya.

Oh well, apart from these reflections and thoughts..

For my last day before ocs.

I went to have dinner with celina and matt, who generously treated us for the meal (thanks again matt!), then headed to iluma for the usual routine. l4d2.

Came back, did some final packing and checking.. then going off to bed soon! heard there will be a lot of tekan session on the first few days. Oh well, I think honestly, this is really a good time for me to have a new start in life, to go there as someone new, to give my best once again.

I am sure and will always believe that there are people out there who appreciates you, and me. I've always told myself to stay appreciative to loved ones, because I think it sucks to be un-appreciated.

Oh well, with that being said, time for bed and charge up energy for the great adventure tomorrow!
