Extra! Extra! (6:29 PM)
I remember just moments ago I checked online and found myself posted to OCS. Moments ago, I was unable to adapt to a cadet's life.
moments ago, I was going for our first section field camp. then we dug the scorpion outta earth.
next thing I knew, I'm awaiting to befriend mother nature for 9 days. :)
I'm praying hard that jcc will be a breeze for our team, and we'll come back safe and sound with that added confidence badge resting on our chest. I know I have people I could rely on, people whom I can entrust my life with.
anyway, pro-term had been really busy, nothing near 'you can read newspaper and idle around', especially near exercises. Oh well, there might have been a few days like that, but generally we're preparing and preparing. It might be a little tiring, but it helps keep your mind off distractions. helps you learn time management the hard way.
I thank god, thank fate, thank anyone who made it possible for me to come to OCS. It's been quite a life transformation, and only for all the good stuff. there is just so much knowledge to capture there, not just in terms of war. never did I knew, my knowledge of health and fitness was so insignificant, and my pain threshold so little.
in here, i met great people, charismatic people, and people who inspire me to simply take another step nearer to the finish line without stopping. there might be unhappy times, annoying people who made you feel uncomfortable, the process might be painful. but at the end of the day when you look back, every single detail is a learning process.
with this, i'm in for a jolly good ride. :)
i'll tell myself that loved ones are waiting for me back in Singapore.
