Extra! Extra! (8:31 PM)
to be honest, there were quite a bit of changes going through me since Brunei. People might think that 'Ah, that kinda feeling will probably last you a couple of weeks?'

That might be true, but I think it re-defined a handful of areas in my life. While I lived in the grey zone in the past, I thought that now I begin to understand how fragile life is, how people will treat you differently because of the things you do, you say.

Needless to say, life moves on, no matter what happens to you. the world revolves around US, but not YOU, am I right?

Now I get a total different perception of leadership. It's always has been an honour to be able to lead. One way or another, we're all leaders of our lives. Fathers lead at home, some lead at work. I even consider managing your own time a form of leadership.

It's never about the glamor of wearing our military dresses with the officer rank on our shoulder, if any, it should simply signify the amount of responsibility you shoulder when you put on that uniform.

I just want to share another thought. Everyone I know, I really encourage you to read up - anything. Fiction, non-fiction, self-help, current affairs. I thought there are so much areas in your life that you can build upon. The modern world is becoming a brand new place. Love, compassion and leadership might be changed, but the principles of them will always stay the same. Stay true to yourself, know what you want and really make an effort to go for it. One of the sentences an old adult uses 'I should have done this when I was young', something I don't want to be coming out of my mouth in future.

You judge a man, not by how he died, number of years he lived. A life worth living is one that's meaningful. If he died at thirty, and he helped 1000 people in his life. Wouldn't it beat a selfish bastard who lived till ninety? I thought this would be a food for thought. Looking at my superiors' achievement, how ranger courses are conducted etc. makes me feel that I'm just an insignificant figure here. time to make differences. time to make your life that meaningful one.

I want to try more things in life. I hope I can get posted to Guards after I commission! Btw, I'm posted to 1GDS for internship. Although a short 3 days, I'm actually pretty excited and hyped up about it! :D
