I quote Mr LKY, 'Why do I have to throw away my stuff? I'm not out to impress anybody'. As answered when questioned about his wardrobe preference, as he wore the jacket dated decades ago, and the tailor have already passed on.
I'm utterly impressed by MM Lee's views on our society. I must say, the younger generation do have a lot to learn from him. We do not see the threats that the older generation does, because we haven't faced them like he did. We don't sense the immediate danger.
I realised I haven't wrote in a long time, probably because my life is monotonous anyway. What's there to do when your friends are all serving the nation, just like I am. There are actually quite a bit of thoughts flashing through but I deem them too sensitive to be posted here. As my OCS PC always warns us that as Officers we hold the responsibility, we're commissioned by the President and we represent the country. Our thoughts and views, however, be it pro-singapore or not, do play a difference to all netizens.
On the other hand, I'm begining to worry about my income after I ORD. The amount I receive now might not be very substantial, but it is indeed a good sum of money to keep my lifestyle alive. I wasn't able to save that much because as I always mention, I really don't mind spending when I'm out with friends or family, or shower loved ones with gift. But then again I do have to be selfish at some point of time.. Or I'll end up a burden to my parents anyway so what's the diff.
I want to travel, ALOT. I want to do white water rafting in Malaysia, climb mountains, enjoy the beaches in Krabi and Bali, go for the water festival in Thailand, club in Taiwan, Trek in New Zealand and backpack Europe (may be cliche but I believe is sth everyone must do).
